The ability of grassland ecosystems to sequester carbon has a great potential achieve neutralization. Rhizosphere deposition is the most uncertain part soil cycle. Since grazing one main ways utilize grasslands, we conducted experiments clarify role rhizosphere on organic (SOC) cycling under in typical steppe region Inner Mongolia, China. experiment was grasslands light, moderate, and heavy control (no grazing) Here, present our analysis total (TOC) fractions both bulk soil. Light moderate increased SOC contents soil, found more than showed enrichment effect, this effect with an increase intensity. As intensity increased, microbial biomass content its percentage TOC were stable those Dissolved also increasing These changes observed Changes potentially mineralizable particulate not synchronized plots different intensities. Grazing changed quantity bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes, as well community structure microbes, It influenced SOC. Acidic components (e.g., acids) root exudate reduced pH less that which may have affected cycling. results can provide support improve ecosystem sink function help goal peaking/carbon neutral target.
